Joshua Boicos

Pilot

I have spent the past five years working within the aviation industry, gaining hands-on experience in ground operations and supporting both domestic and international flights.

Read Joshua’s story

In 2024, my career was unexpectedly interrupted following a diagnosis of leukemia. The illness and its complications significantly impacted my health, including severe damage to my hip bones, ultimately leading me to step away from the aviation industry to focus on treatment and recovery.

Alongside my aviation career, I proudly served with the Country Fire Authority (CFA) for seven years, with two years from 2023 to 2025 as a Communications Officer. In this role, I contributed to emergency response coordination, supported operational communications, and assisted in maintaining equipment and readiness.

Despite the challenges I have faced, I remain motivated, resilient, and committed to contributing positively in any environment I am part of.
